SALEEM S. RIZVI,
ESQ.
Saleem S. Rizvi has been
practicing law in New York since
1990. After receiving his Bachelor of
Laws, and Master of Arts degrees in
Political Science and History from
the University of Punjab, Pakistan,
Mr. Rizvi came to the United States
to pursue advanc eeducation in law.
His admission to prestigious Columbia
Law School afforded him the
opportunity to expand his academic
horizons and sharpen his legal skills
in the area of international law.
Immediately after graduating with
his master's in law, Mr. Rizvi
enrolled as a special student at
Columbia to conduct further studies
and research in the areas of
corporate law, international trade
law, and international investment
law. Since his admission as an
attorney in New York in 1990, Mr.
Rizvi has developed diversified
practice covering corporate law,
commercial law, real estate law,
bankruptcy law ,and immigration law.
Mr. Rizvi represents foreign
corporations, government agencies,
private and public business entities,
professionals and individuals . In
addition, Mr. Rizvi has successfully
represented many overseas investors
who have made substantial investments
in the Unites States and consequently
obtained their lawful immigration
status.
Mr. Rizvi is deeply involved in
community affairs. He has organized,
participated , and lectured at many
seminars and conferences on legal
matters for the general public. He
frequently writes on legal issues for
ethnic newspapers. Mr. Rizvi also
appears on a highly popular TV
program, shown on ITV. In his live
monthly program, he answers varied
questions posed by viewers on legal
matters. The interesting part of the
live TV program is the direct
interaction between Mr. Rizvi and his
viewers covering a host of legal
issues. Mr. Rizvi is admitted to
practice in New York State, and the
Federal courts of Eastern and
Southern Districts. In recognition of
his community services, the Honorable
Ed Towns presented Mr. Rizvi a
Congressional award, and his services
were highly appreciated and noted in
the Congressional Record. Mr. Rizvi
also offers his legal expertise to
deserving charitable organizations
and individuals free of charge.
Of-Counsel
Mr. Giordano has been practicing
law for over twenty years. He
graduated with high honors (magna cum
laude) from New York Law School in
1985 and was the recipient of the
prestigious Chen Award for Excellence
in the field of Human Rights. Before
forming his independent practice in
2000, Mr. Giordano worked as a trial
attorney with the midtown Manhattan
law firm of Levy Phillips &
Konigsberg, acting as lead counsel in
federal and state litigation,
including trials of catastrophic
injury and employment matters. Mr.
Giordano has also worked as a Senior
Trial Specialist for the City of New
York Corporation Counsel, handling
some of the city's most serious tort
cases, including high profile
wrongful death, police shooting and
civil rights cases. Mr. Giordano
received special commendation from
then Mayor Rudolph Giuliani for his
work.
Mr. Giordano began his legal
career working as an Assistant
District Attorney in Kings County,
New York. While working as a
prosecutor, Mr. Giordano tenured in
the Rackets Bureau, handling the
prosecution and trial of organized
crime, white collar crime and public
corruption cases. Mr. Giordano also
worked in the Homicide Bureau, trying
several homicide cases to verdict,
while maintaining an active and
substantial caseload of homicides. He
was selected by then District
Attorney Elizabeth Holtzman to
represent the office at the National
Career Prosecutors Conference.
Mr. Giordano completed course work
for a Masters of Law (LLM), with a
concentration in constitutional law
and jurisprudence, from New York
University School of Law during
evenings while working as an
Assistant District Attorney. Upon his
departure from the District
Attorney's Office in 1990, Mr.
Giordano worked as a Legislative
Counsel for the United States Senate
in Washington, D.C. where he rendered
legal advice to senators and
committees of the U.S. Senate.
Mr. Giordano has handled cases in
federal and state courts in New York,
California, New Jersey, and
Connecticut. He has articles
published on comparative
constitutional law and commercial
speech matters in law journals and
has been a guest speaker for the New
York City Board of Civil Judges on
the subject of evidentiary matters
for the trial judge. Mr. Giordano has
been a regular guest on Court TV. He
has hosted a radio show entitled Your
Rights for In Touch Radio, which won
the Best Ongoing Series award from
the National Association of Radio
Reading Services in 1998. He is
licensed to practice law in all New
York State courts, the Federal Courts
for the Eastern and Southern
Districts of New York and the
District of Connecticut. Mr. Giordano
is fluent in Spanish.
